Ignis™ High-Temperature IC Family

Silicon built for the places standard electronics are not rated to go.

The Ignis™ IC Family brings together a portfolio of high-temperature semiconductor solutions engineered for harsh environments. From high-temperature MCUs to precision RDC interfaces and TDC-based solutions, every device is designed to deliver reliable performance under extreme thermal conditions.

Most integrated circuits are specified for a commercial or automotive temperature range and derated well before they reach it. Ignis™ devices are designed the other way round: the thermal envelope is the starting requirement, and every block — reference, oscillator, memory, interface — is architected and characterised to hold specification across it.

The family is developed in-house at Harmonie Design Labs. The same team that designs the silicon runs the verification, the characterisation and the qualification, which means the numbers on the datasheet come from the people who own the design.

High-Temperature Processor

HDL-P100HT

RISC-V · up to 200 °C

RISC-V based microcontroller for harsh-environment applications, engineered for operation at temperatures up to 200 °C with integrated processing, memory and peripheral functions.

High-Temperature Resistance-to-Digital Converter

HDL-R100HT

TDC-based · nanojoule injected energy

High-precision RDC built on proprietary TDC-based measurement technology, limiting injected measurement energy to the nanojoule range for safety-critical installations.

What Every Ignis™ Device Shares?

Silicon built for the places standard electronics are not rated to go.

  • Thermal envelope as a design requirement — The operating temperature range is fixed before the architecture is chosen, not discovered during characterisation. Devices are specified across the full range rather than derated toward the top of it.
  • Measured, not extrapolated — Performance figures come from characterisation across the temperature envelope. Where a parameter drifts, the drift is characterised and published rather than hidden behind a typical-only specification.
  • Designed for the standards that matter — Ignis™ devices are developed to support compliance with industry standards and functional safety requirements for mission-critical applications, so the device is not the obstacle when the system goes for approval.
  • Foundry independence — Harmonie is fabless. The process for each Ignis™ device is chosen for what the application needs, not for what a single fab happens to offer.

Where Ignis™ Ships?

Ignis™ devices are built for systems that operate where ambient temperature, pressure or ignition risk rules out standard components — downhole tooling and directional drilling, industrial process measurement, geothermal and energy infrastructure, and aerospace and defence subsystems.
